With close to 20 years of experience and over 250 customers, Aveco has supplied complete solutions to some of the largest broadcast facilities around the world. Companies such as Televisa, the largest public broadcaster in Mexico, rely on ASTRA to run its $2.5B tapeless operation. Telefonica, Peru controls 68 channels from two locations. In India, ASTRA enabled TV Today with four Indian news channels and three international channels to become the #1 news broadcaster in India. Czech TV, the crown jewel of the Czech government runs five independent channels on ASTRA. In Germany, ARD is the #1 TV channel with one core channel and nine regional channels all under ASTRA control.

The most demanding customers around the world have turned to Aveco when they need reliable solutions to complex problems and assurances that their revenue stream will be safe. Whether you are operating in a file-based environment or moving to a file-based tapeless workflow, Aveco’s ASTRA Suite of Tools offer Master Control automation, News automation and Studio automation solutions all integrated around a common Content Management System.

History

AVECO s.r.o., based in Prague, Czech Republic, was founded in 1992 by a group of engineers who worked in the former TV and Broadcast Research Institute. The institute was an important developer and manufacturer of TV equipment within Central and Eastern Europe. The core that formed AVECO developed software control systems for equipment designed and manufactured by the Institute. Because of this experience AVECO started with a thorough understanding of TV technology.
