Real-Time Performance

With its products and as a company, AVECO delivers true real-time performance when handling media, controlling devices, performing error diagnostics and recovery of automation and broadcast systems, integrating automation with other departments of the TV station and in providing timely support to our customers.

Real-time operating system

AVECO systems are built on QNX, a true real-time operating system with multiple categories of priority driven preemptive scheduling, fast context switching and short interrupt latencies.

More about QNX.

Frame accurate

Every frame is put on-air frame accurately regardless of the pace of the program, number of overlays and effects or last moment playlist changes. While clips are getting shorter, with shorter cueing times, AVECO system's real-time operating system handles them exactly.

Frame accurate performance is delivered in LAN or WAN networks, even from a laptop computer connected via the Internet, since commands are coded to prevent uneven transmission delays from affecting frame accurate triggers.

No pre-roll or latency

AVECO automation does not add to the reaction time of the devices or the systems it controls.

Error diagnosis and recovery

AVECO automation continuously runs diagnostic subsystems that detect failures and implement solutions within the vertical blanking period and before the on-air signal is affected.

We have a complete mirrored solution for automation servers which protects it all, data, playlists and control, with a hot-mirrored automation server. With hot-mirroring, a backup server will take over all automation functions instantly when it detects a failure of the main automation server.

With real-time monitoring and control of broadcast processes and their backup options, AVECO automation can implement fault recognition and recovery for other equipment in the TV station under AVECO control ensuring robust delivery of the on-air signal.

Real-time integration of automation to other departments

AVECO can integrate its automation dynamically with other traffic and information systems of the TV station. This means that last minute changes for ad insertion or new broadcasts can be implemented directly from those departments into the master control room.

Real-time AVECO response

Real-time also describes AVECO's turn-around of customer requests. When you need to add a device to the automation system, or need a change to the workflow, AVECO delivers timely solutions. What does this mean exactly? Immediate access to a qualified engineer via phone or e-mail, any day any time. Quick on-site presence of an AVECO engineer to address issues that cannot be resolve remotely.

We are committed to providing you the timely response you need to keep your AVECO system performing to your specifications and we have developed a unique capability to do this. More about AVECO Support.
